Icon5 06 MUSTANG GT

I live in Central CA and have alway loved mustangs. Been lookin for about a year now and found this 06 mustang gt. I have done quite a bit of research on these cars. I have test drived it (impressed), looked at it (no dings or dents), checked under the hood (clean as a whistle, kind of concerns me), scanned it (clean)...just checkin on peoples opinion...let me know what you think

Here is the link:
2006 Ford Mustang 2dr Cpe GT Deluxe Red Coupe. A Ford Mustang at San Luis Bay Motors Inc Paso Robles CA

btw: I have them lowered on the price to 16, 900 for now....

As long as everything checks out like you said it did I say go for it. I'm an avid mustang fanatic. I've owned 3 in the past and hope to acquire another in the not so distant future.

Pretty good mileage for and 06. Let me tell you, those estimated MPG's are about dead on. With my heavy foot, I was getting about 17.7mpgs and 24-25mpgs highway in mine.

Nice find if you have them down to 16,9! I say go for it!

I agree a 5 speed is more fun. and the clutches are much softer than in the past., but it's all in your opinion. These auto trans. are no turds. Get a short throw shifter and your set.

as far as tuner/intake/exhaust for better mpg's.... eh not so much, the numbers i posted were with all of them.

BTW I know 5-speeds are more fun but unless you are an amazing driver you wont out run a GT with the 5R55R Auto. especially with a tune.

If you scoot the front seats foward, full grown people can fit... its tight but it works. 4 of us drove our car to branson (2 hours) with no complaints last summer. Go for it man, just be careful, these cars can get away from ya.

as for the stick vs. auto argument... heres a auto with just bolt ons... They arent slow. LOL

Ugh it's an auto... In my opinion you just can't have a car like that and not have a stick, unless you are in a heavily populated area. i.e - LA. Not as much driver skill involved. Just my opinion though...

why do you love a stick so bad? the autos aren't as bad as they used too be...they are quick and snappy! I have driven stick a lot and its cool for a while and sometimes its cool but after a while it just gets laborious

In 2006 I was >this< close to trading the Ranger in for an 06 Stang w/ the pony package. Black on black leather interior with grey racing stripes and the 18" grey Bullit rims. I took it out for a few rips and had all the paper work drawn up, just needed to sign. I slept on it and realized that the dealer was practically stealing my Ranger away. The trade value was just not enough to make me feel comfortable, so I killed the deal. In 2006, my Ranger was worth a lot more then $6500. Hell, that's what it's worth now. LOL
I love the 05-09 style. The 2010's just don't do it for me.

i agree hundred percent! the 05-09 really just look more retro to me....and with a couple hundred invested you got a pretty quick car...I am just gonna miss having my own truck...i just know it
