What's my '05 Worth??

Just curious to see what my truck is worth in the market of Rangers today.

Automatic/5R55E
8.8, 4.10s, Limited Slip
31x10.50x15 Definity Mud Terrains on Cragar D-Windows

Interior:

Manual windows
Manual locks
Vinyl flooring
60/40 bench
Factory CD/MP3 Cd Player
Upgraded Pioneer front speakers
Seats are perfect, no real wear/damage

Exterior:
Niteshade ambers/tails/3rd brake ("lightly done, no blackout")
8,000k HIDs
4x4 Tow hooks
"FX2" decaling
Better built Tool box
Thick rubber bed mat
u-haul tow hitch
blacked stock headlights
lund wind/rain visors

I'd say ~$7500-8500.

Trade in of ~$5000-6000 or less.

Sure do! Well neither of the guides of course take account for the tuner, pulleys, tool box, etc. So I could recoop a couple bucks by removing that stuff and selling it individual..more than likely.

Just curious into upgrading trucks, little 2wd isn't cuttin it anymore. Not necessarily ready to do it, but doing some realistic research. I may toss it onto craigslist and see what kinda bites I get. I paid $11,750 for the truck almost 2 years ago, bone stock. So if I get 10k for driving/maintaining it for 2 years..that's really not too bad. Could easily be worse. And if I'm patient enough, I may get better money for it..We'll see how things go!

because they add NO value to the truck.. so sorry been discussed so many times. remove it all if you want compensation for it..

thats why i removed 99% of everything on my silver truck before i sold it...

best thing to do is put it as far back to stock as possible wheels and all.. you will get way more people begging for it that way.. people are scared of modified daily drivers

Hemi 4x4 Ram is calling more than a Ranger. If I upgraded, it'd have to handle towing my 'Cuda from Florida to Vegas, and with the mileage of the 3.0..I may as well get some grunt. I'm a Dodge guy, but a closet Ford guy.

I'll do a little # crunching on what I owe and what I could get for it and see how things pan out. Keep any comments comin'.

Thanks!

The nice thing about craigslist is you can toss it up and get a feel for where it stands without a commitment. I'd give it a shot for sure. As for the add-ons definately sell 'em seperate or just move them to the new truck.

I agree with Zach, get an F150 with the 5.4L

My grandpa has an '06 I believe with 30,000 miles and most of them towing and there hasn't been any problems. Towing with a car back there you can barely tell its there. We've towed our tractor many times and that thing with the trailer weighs over 10,000lbs

I had a Hemi 4x4 Ram 04 loaner from ford while waiting for a new f150(5.4L), the dodge is a real gas hog, loud engine noise in the cab and was not built that good, but is that is what you want good luck.

Yes Red I was talking to you. So with our rangers we could pull that car on that trailer. The reason I ask is I'm getting a 1936 chevy pickup that was my dads back in the day, and I wanna trailer it with my ranger. What do you think?

all depends on the trailer.. that trailer is a All Alum 24ft.. only weighs 1,100lb empty.. thats nothing you can move it around by hand.. I highly recommend installing a trailer brake

I would get a Ford too. I work at a Chrysler dealer and those trucks are gas hogs they will get 12-15 mpg unloaded, they also are cheaply built. Also they use 7 quarts of oil and have 16 spark plugs, 2 per cylinder. That's one expensive tune up. They Ford is better all around. Good luck with your choice.

Thanks,

Jason
