dent in front of catylitic conv...

I was cleaning the truck today, and checking everything and notice a sizable dent in front of the drivers side catylitic convert....its right near the front driveshaft, but the radius of the dent is quite a bit larger than the driveshaft could have made...anyone else notice this??

75% it is suppose to be that way. if the drive shaftwas to move it wont hit. Plus to get the converter between it, and what ever else is there they have to have a bend.

heres a better pic...it just looks out of place, i understand they need a bit of room on either side to acount for motor torquing, but it just seems like a restrictive area to crush the tubing...

Your right alot of restriction there. Have you seen the airbox mod just another example of the factory limiting air flow. Its what they do

Suppose I should have specified what it was...my apologies... It is a 2003 FX4 4.0 with the 5r55e trans... I was just confused about whether it was a normal kind of thing or not...seems as if others have this 'modification' to their tubing also... The truck was just cleaned up real well, it's driven quite often, just like the truck to stay clean and well maintained...

If I may pester you, would you be at all able to get a snapshot of this same area? If not no big deal.... Everything seems to be where it should, perhaps something wasn't properly assembled... thanks to all who replied!
