Lately i think there may be something majorly wrong with the truck....its shifting has just turned almost retarded....the times when its supposed to shift it studders and kicks then i let off the gas and it changes gears....i have gotten to the point where i can sense it before it kicks but damn this is annoying.....

Any ideas?

Shou;d i go have my codes pulled.....and it that at autozone where they do that for free?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume its out of warranty?

When this happened with my previous car, it was a major transmission problem, and I had to replace the whole thing. Hopefully its not that!

perhaps ur torque converter is taking a **** on u. if the overdrive light is on or flashing w/o u putting it on then a code will come up...wouldnt hurt to have it checked anyway.

also, when was the fluid and filter changed last? if its been a while try that and see if it helps.

If you take off the pan on an automatic trans, the valve body is what the filter is under. I'm not real knowledgeable on automatics, but I believe the valve body can be replaced.
