truck question

ok so some ppl have probly relized im very indesicive, lol but i got a question cause iv narrowed down the trucks i want to like 2 or 3. but i want it to be able to carry a decent sized quad around in the back, so heres what i was thinkin

either
1)a crew cab/ext cab tacoma
2)a exended cab ranger of course
3)a chevy 1500
4)a f150

iv learned a decent amount about these trucks from readin around just not sure if they all suit my needs any input would greatly help.

OHHHH and any1 know anything about nissan? like how are then engines cause i was debating on a frontier or titan just know nothing about them so yeah lol

I can fit my Raptor 700 in the back on my Ranger but not much else. A full size will fit a lot more but sometimes at the expense of gas, depending on how you drive of course. I have no need for a full size so that is out of the question.

As far as the crew cab Tacoma(short bed) goes my buddy fits his Yamaha 450 in the back with the tailgate down and a bed extender. I will be getting the same truck at the end of the year but I will be towing my quad around on a small trailer like this:

that way I can just put camping stuff in the bed. It all really depends on what quad you own or will own.

well im thinkin i want a more of like a trail quad not a racing quad cause my friend has a butt load of trails behind his moms house and we were ridin his uhh honda somethin. more like a towing/hunting quad if u know what i mean. so its gonna be bigger lol and i was thinkin full size would be best just not sure of exact weight specs rangers/tacomas and i think id get a long bed tacoma

If you get the taco it would have to be a long bed. Since I'm getting the offroad package I don't have the longbed choice. I don't like how they look anyway. So either tow it or get the fullsize because if you get the quad in the bed of a smaller pickup then that is all you will have back there.

Yup. You can only get the Sport in a longbed. Some people might say for the price of a Taco you can get a full size. Yes that is nice but I don't need a full size. Lol.

Well you can't go wrong with a full size. I just know for a fact I don't need one. The Taco pulls 6500lbs. That will be more than enough for what I want to do. Also I can still offroad a bit because its not a huge truck. Lastly CA registration sucks. It will be cheaper to register a mid size truck vs a full size.

i've put a 2007 grizzly 700 (used to work at yamaha and borrowed it for the weekend) in my 93 ranger shortbox extended cab 5 speed. the first time i loaded it up i got the tailgate closed, then after that i had to leave it open because the quad is about 3 inches too long..haha i got the 4.0L and it handled fine, course a little light in the front end.. the grizzly 700's are around 600 pounds. i did have to drive over the inner wheel wells though but thats not a problem.

so if i do decide to go with a truck a little 1 will do what i need it to do, cause what im seriously debating on and me and my dad have been goin back and forth on this for a few weeks is to get 2 trucks. get a nice fullsized with the backseat as like my dd and then go with the little nissan/yota for a woods beater somethin i can puta bodylift on some 33s and just go. cause it seems easier then trying to find the transforming truck i seem to want haha

i had a 01 ranger excab and couldnt fit my 07 500 honda foreman in it. but i had wider aftermarket mudders so idno about stock tires. i had a trailer so i just used it. now i have a 07 f150 SCAB 6.5' bed so the quad will fit alright in the bed. ill prolly just load in the bed when doin some local ridin, but if i go anywhere overnight or long distance ill pull the trailer
