Best ways to get rid of weight?
I am a big advocate for performance. I have realize that there are several weights to get rid of weight. I want to know some more, and i might make this into a DIY instructions.
I have already :replaced the steel body blocks with aluminum ones, gotten rid of that stupid stock muffler and replaced it with a light thrush welded muffler and went out right behind the passenger door with the exhaust.
I am going to : get aluminum wheels including spare,
What are some ideas, doesn't matter to what degree you want from switching the lug nuts to aluminum ones, deleting both bumpers, or making your ranger a convertible,
(Please include instructions for any in depth ideas)

How to install alluminum Block on rear suspension (2002 ford ranger)
This is about replacing the steel blocks with aluminum ones
1: jack up the car
2:take tire off
3: Lower the axle down onto a secure object that is not the ground(brick, jack stand)
4.remove all the nuts and u bolts that connect the axle to the leaf spring
5. jack up the leaf spring close to the middle and raise it up off the steel block
6. replace the steel block with the aluminum block that you have got.(it may require some guiding to get the bolts in the pilot holes)
7. Lower the leaf-spring onto the block
8.attach the original u bolts and nuts or the ones that came with the blocks
9.jack up the axle
10. attach the tire

A tonneau cover will reduce drag going down the highway.
Removing the end gate all together or putting one of these in will work, but I don't think they look very good, but you will reduce weight too by removing the tail gate.
