Mazda died... Got a new truck!

Yup... I was on a road trip from Dallas Tx to Laurel Ms with a trailer to pick up some stuff, and sure enough, 100 miles from home in the middle of a tornado-warning thunderstorm, the rear main seal blows and the tranny fluid just dumps out on the ground.... So we end up limping back home, and this is the 2nd time in a year that that truck has left me stranded more than 100 miles from home, plus, it's an old beater, so behold, the new addition to my garage!

2007 Ranger, 2.3l 4cyl Automatic. 14,530 miles on the odometer, paid $11,950. Plus, I didn't buy it from a dealership, it was a bank repo that I bought directly from my bank, so they gave me 0% financingm, on the house TT&L, and low payments ($210!!!) I'm thoroughly impressed. The 2.3l is actually quicker than my 3.0, and the whole truck is well assembled and everything fits rights. Going down the road it has a powerful stance and just feels strong and tough.

Great find, but is it just me, or are the newer Rangers lower to the ground, cuz my 05 is a 2wd and it doesn't look that low... idk maybe its just me.

Good choice man. I like the truck and its awesome that it already has an exhaust on it. Do you know what kind a muffler you are running on it?

I THINK it's a flowmaster. Not sure, I haven't had time to crawl under and check. It's got flowmaster tips though and it sounds like flowmaster muffler. Maybe Borla. Definitely something pricey though.

I think since 2007 or 2008, all 4x4s are 16mm lower than previous years.

I don't know why you would ever get a 4 cylinder automatic, thats just me. Or a XL for that matter

The duals look good on it though, slam it!

when the price, miles and condition are right, you don't ask. especially when you're in need of a vehicle quickly. I think he got a good deal.

As for the 2.3 auto...that's questionable. However, the other day I just drove a 93 Mazda B2200 with an automatic and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I used to have a 95 Nissan Hardbody with a 2.4 and automatic and that thing was gutless.

4x4's are the ones that got lower.

If it has a factory installed single CD headunit, it should have four speakers. The AM/FM radios are the two speaker ones...and they don't come with rear wires.

i almost got a 93 xl 4cyl xcab ... only reason i didnt go for it was lack of ac ... the xlt doesnt add THAT much that i couldnt acquire later. And the 93 i test drove had cloth seats and a tach.

lol,i was just make a smart *** comment after reading some of the posts over the last few days concerning manuals and their tow rating compared to manuals and "people not knowing hw to drive sticks properly".

I prefer to have a manual when I'm towing anything.

I like the truck. I'm happy for you, but there is no way I would have bought it with auto. trans.
