Bit the projector bullet... AGAIN!!!

Well I decided to upgrade to FX-R projectors. Im gonna stick with the same bulbs (Phillips 85122+) but I am gonna boost the power up to 50w from 35w.

Ive got new housings in the mail. Also Im gonna order the shrouds when I order the new morimoto 5five ballasts which Im gonna wait about a week to do that.

That light is just the flash from my phone

These are on 35w ballasts and are already brighter than my mini D2s setup.

I'll keep yall updated.

My old set cost me about $375 for everything.

this retrofit here I found the Projectors on closeout for $45
I also bought 2 sets of shrouds and a set of knock off bulbs cost me $40
the ballasts are gonna cost me about $110
New housings cost me $48

not too expensive. Its well worth it... As far as hard, its only as hard as you make it.

Parts I would have to price it all out for ya. Im doing a mod as you go retro so to speak. Haha. As far as retrofitting for you I have never really thought about doing them to sell. It takes quite a bit of time and is a slow process do to my busy work schedule.

traditional headlight mod, so chrome bowls and black rest. i think a bitchin mod to go with it would be those V-led's for the signals.

Thats what im thinking and yes the switchbacks would be nice. Currently I have crappy china ones that don't work properly.

One more thing should I go with Halos on this retro

Sometimes the Halos look a little cheesy. Just my opinion

I think the switchbacks would give it a nice look when they shine against the rest of the housing

This is the current photo of what it looks like.

These are 100mm CCFL rings and the ones for for the new setup would be 80mm so a tad bit smaller

x2

My opinion is the same as the above minus the "sometimes" part. I'm not a fan of them period.

So far the project looks bad ***!
