I had the Safari bar on my truck & loved it but I know its limitations. It was all show & no go. Mounting was messed up to say the least.
I will announce the next WAAG bar order on my site as well as this one, but it probably will not be till Febuary. We just had one & it takes time to build up an interest & comittment to ordering one.

Just call Irma at Waag. She can probably sell you one without a group buy. After much drama, the last group-buy among multiple boards only yielded 4 or 5 orders. When i spoke with her, she said it was still a regular production item. Ask for the Ranger Sportster model.
I still think it's the California equivalent of a snowplow; it's just in-case.

chromed with those black plastic/rubber ends on it I think would look pretty cool, or, maybe the center horizontal bars chrome, or the ends chrome.
as far as the WAAG Stamped piece, that doesnt really bother me, because it gives it more of the "one of a kind" look... if you know what I mean. and, as far as misaligned holes,. I didnt really experience this. the installing of the waag was pretty easy, it was swapping the tow hooks which proved to be a real PITA. and as far as the pre drilled holes... for most people, this would probably be a cause for concern, but to me, it gives it a more finished look. leave your options as the consumer more open as to what you want to do with it. leave it plain, and not have the holes i think is better than having the holes and it being bare... or have the holes for easy light addition later. its an opinion based dilema. but, im happy with it. I actually prefer to not advertise 3rd part companies on my truck. so, the not having the waag indented on it is groovier to me, since i think im probably the only one in NYS with a Waag bar like this on my ranger.

About those tow hooks, if you remove the plastic grill (highly recommended), you can use a 1/2" drive with a 12" (or so) extension and a swivel/universal to remove the vertical bolts. This also lets you get a torque wrench on them for reassebly. The horizontal bolts are no problem. (3 bolts per hook)
This is way better than whacking the radiator fins with your rachet.
