Low brake pedal and parking brake low.

I have just replaced rear drums, shoes, wheel cylinder, and new hardware kits.

my range stops fine, but the pedal is much lower. Also the parking brake goes much lower.

Could the rear brakes need more "stops" in order to adjust out?

Are the star wheels marked left and right?

Hold the E-brake release and pump the e-brake pedal until it stops higher.

There are 3-ways to adjust rear drum brakes
1. Use a screw driver/tool through access hole in each back plate
2. drive in reverse and stop several times
3. pump E-brake pedal

Yes, adjuster wheel has a left and right side, the threads are reversed.
Most are marked but not all
