That is not good... I fried my original engine in my 96 that way...
Change all of your Fluids. In everything!!!
I got my engine running again, Pull all of the plugs, turn it over,, shoots out water, intstall plugs, change oil and filter,, start it.. run it for 5 min.. drain oil... add 5qts.. ATF.. (sounds crazy I know, but it flushes out the engine.) run that for 5 to ten minutes.. change oil and filter again.. drive it around for an hour. change oil again,,, then change it in 500 miles, then 1000miles, then back to 3k...
I Mangaged to get another 7,000 miles out of it untill a bearing spun between the #3 and 4 connecting rods... at 75 miles an hour on I -10. <- not fun....
I was there when the engine shop tore apart my old engine... He asked me what really happend? I told him what happened, He didn't belive me.. He said that the internals where too clean for that to have happened,, then pointed to a recent water logged engine.. looked like beige mud on the inside..I told him the above process. A peice of sand or small metal, managed to get in that bearing and the hole bottom end of that engine Greanaded.... he was handing me peices of connecting rods....
Hope you have better luck....
