1st off... i will get pics as soon as possible... but i cant do it yet cuz i dont have the truck yet. so anyways... if anybody remembers my truck was totalled about a month and a half ago. and ive been toying with the idea of a car to save money on gas. i actually almost bought a 99 integra gsr... but the guy didnt have the title in hand and it just seemed a little shady, so basically i was looking to get something this weekend... and while up in canton,GA i was doing some shopping. i was just driving down the road and saw a red ranger for sale. i stopped to look at it and its a 98 ranger, 5 spd, 4.whoa, 4x4, ext cab, stepside bed, and its got 120,000 on it. the guy was asking $7,000. i called to drive it and whenever he came he seemed like a trustworthy guy and a guy that i wouldnt mind buying from. so... heres the kicker, he got in to start her up, and the truck wouldnt start. lol.. he looked embarrased and said that he'd never had any trouble with the truck and he didnt know what to do.. so we played with the truck for a little while and found that there was no fire to the plugs, so itll be something that has to do with the ignition. long story short... the truck is very clean, no off roading apparant, the engine is clean, and the guy is trustworthy, but he just got screwed, stuff happens... but ive got a family mechanic that says that it wont be a problem. needless to say i offered him $5000 since i didnt get to drive the truck, and we ended up coming to $5800! the fix might a be a few hundred but either way i got a good deal. wait till you see this truck!

right now my plans are basic... obviously i need to get this issue figured out (which will be easy and m gonna get all the fluids changed. then after that.. deer season is coming up so i need to get BFG's right away.. so ill up to 265/75R16's, then ill do exhaust (of course doin that with flos), and ill probably crank the torsion bars about halfway. at least ill be doin all that in the next 2-3 weeks... and then after deer season im gonna take off the grey stock grill and bumper and primer and paint them to match the truck... and of course a whole bunch of audio stuff.. and transferring most of the stuff from my old 98 to my new one... so a bunch of basic stuff, but i should have fun with it

 

so i got a call this morning from the shop.... and the crankshaft position sensor went out.... replaced it, the truck fired up strong. i went there, and the truck runs and drives PERFECT! i cant believe i got this deal. im gonna go ahead and have him change ALL the fluids so i know everything will be up to date. ill get her in a few hours!

Looks really clean and a virgin for a 98.. I think it would be nice with chrome grille and bumper I have a chrome grille with home depot mod sitting here if you want to buy it. Sorry to see your old truck which was my trucks twin go..
