Brand new 2011 Sport owner...
Stepped out and bought a blue 2011 Sport 4x4 4.0 with all the dressings. I love the truck. I is almost a carbon copy of my old 2001 Edge minus the supercab. Here are some things that I don't care for:
1. Stereo sound is horrible (but LOVE Sirrius)
2. Visors are cheap
3. Could they have put some more features like outside temp, fuel economy etc instead of just a Tripometer?
4. The bed is very shallow (Guess I'm used to my old F150).
5. How on earth is the MPG the same as an F150?
Other than that....I'm geeked about EVERYTHING else on this truck...very nice indeed.
BTW...now is the time to step out and buy a Ranger...the incentives are out of this world.

2. Explorer visors with mirrors on both sides and illumination are better anyway.
3. I had the same complaint. Even "cheap" cars have those features. A ScanGauge and Gentex rearview mirror with temperature and compass will fix that.
4. Can't help you there.
5. I know, right?! If I ever get another Ranger it will be the 2.3L, unless of course they come out with a redesigned version. Wishful thinking on that though.

you can go the junk yard route, buy it new and DIY or have an automotive shop install it for you, which ever way you go its a very easy upgrade, well worth it.
for me having the temp is a safety issue, if its getting close to freezing levels and theres precip, i typically switch into grandma mode...
post photos of your new truck!

Thanks buzz. Yeah...I did 4 years active and 1 year in the reserves here in Columbus. I served from 85-89 and then from 90-91. I was a SMAW gunner...OOH-RAH!

Nice! The deals going on recently have been amazing. I actually ordered my '11 Sport Supercab 4x4 to my liking (I'm very picky) and got it fully loaded (with manual trans), LSD, privacy glass, sliding window, cruise control, bedrug, keypad entry, etc. for under $22K.... over $7500 off the sticker price! It took about two months for it to build and ship from the factory. I installed a hurst shifter immediately and couldn't be happier with the truck.
