Went to the junk yard and struck gold. I have been looking at getting new seats, preferably bucket seats for my 97' since my 60/40 was crap, uncomfortable and the center console was falling apart. I did not want to pay an arm and a leg for new seats so I kept looking. Anyways went to a different junkyard, I found some excellent condition bucket seats out of an 01' Explorer Sport. I was surprised at the condition and how easy they were to put into my ranger. I wish i could have used the seat brackets though, i really like to have that single bar up front instead of the lever.

Can't beat good looking new seats for 60 bucks.

Yesterday I replaced my MAF sensor got sick of there being a million codes. Now my truck runs so much better and way better throttle response. Now I just need to find out why I have a misfire in cylinder three and fix it and she'll run like a champ again. I think it's because the plugs are fouled due to me running on them when the engine was running lean for 12000 miles.

Nothing like a fresh coat of Hand Wax, noine of that spray on crap either, Go old school style and actually run it in in circles into the paint then wipe it off, WOW!! What a pretty shine, ya gotta just love the way the water beads up off the truck, that way you know your ranger will always have good paint and no oxidation, isn't an easy job though~!

Just got back from the feed store, picked up some Alfalfa for the horses. Tomorrow going to repaint the front and rear bumpers (flat black) and possibly tint windows, 5% on the slider and 10% or 20% up front.

Would if I could but no factory tint. But I like your thinking, darker the better, being in Tx the sun is your nemesis

Just a little project today. The kid I bought my 88 off of tore out the carpet and removed the tranz cover and shift's boot cover. Needless to say I had no problem with heat in the cab (and with everyday in 100's here in central Tx) it was like hell in the cab. So I spent the morning fabricating a cover and mounting the shift boots back on.

If no photo, sorry can't get them to link up, just go to my profile and they will be in Project album. Thanks

Tex again, just got the truck as lots of little projects going on with my "Little Reg Wagon" right now. Sanded and re sprayed the front bumper today. That's about it until I get to the junk yard and find some seats. Anyone know a good you pull it in central Tx area? Pic's of bumper on my profile, still no luck posting on thread.

Last night I fixed my speedometer so it's the correct speed and so my passengers quit thinking I'm speeding everywhere. Today I did the rear shackle (spring hanger) flip so my truck sits level. Also took it to costco and got my front tires plugged up since they both had leaks (took a whole $4 and they balanced them too).

Next up, replacing my evaporator core and fixing my AC.

washed & waxed both the ranger & blazer, amazing how many flaws you find when you go over something by hand. guess i should expect it, the ranger is 18 y/o now.

Abused it some more... My 80 mile round trip to town for a haircut turned into 240 miles.... and I never left the same county... Home Depot and a trip across town to PetSmart and Sams then another 20 miles for a haircut and I had to get gas on my way home... Including gas my trip was just under $1000... but the pets have food for a month, a bigger kennel for the dogs and I have everything for the new tile floors...
Now if I could just come up with the motivation to actually install the tiles...

Removed the Rear oem splash guards and plastic on the front.
There is actually holes in the fenders where that piece of plastic mounts and the mudguards too. ..... WTF absolute idiocy on Ford's part !!
Wish I could figure out how to photobucket transfer pics on here but can't seem to figure it out.
