Your 2wd so it's not like you have to find a tranny that will have to work for a 4wd. Either that or just do a v8 swap. Soooo much info on here or tons of other sites that will help you get the knowledge you need on getting a v8's into rangers.
where i live in illinois doesnt inspect vehicles and where id like to move in missouri doesnt inpect vehicles 5 years old or older so i think im safe since it will be 2 to 3 years before i move to missouri anyway. My reasoning for a turbo is to keep the 4banger and just see what i can get out of it. I know im gonna lose gas mileage but i wanna keep the 4banger in it. if i get another ranger sometime after my insurance goes back down then ill likely do a v8 swap in it.
