Washed all of the pollen off of it, for the second time in two days.

This past Sunday I replaced the clutch master cylinder, then dropped the transmission to replace the slave cylinder... Tracking down engagement / disengagement issues and soft pedals. While in there, I put on a full new clutch kit and gave her fresh new fluid (looked to be her first change... ever ).

This wasn't my first clutch job on a vehicle, but the first on my Ranger. It wasn't that bad of a job thank goodness.

Turned the key over on my new 347 stroker and let it roar!

Having some fun revving it up a little bit:

Took off my XLT badges to put on custom badges. I thought about putting the newer style on the truck but honestly they just don't look right to me, and these look nicer because it looks carved compared to the giant chrome rectangle...lol

I'm happy. And it's a little different..

Nice "custom" badges...did you run into pins when removing old XLT badges? Where did you find the new ones? I've made enough changes to my white 02 to justify custom badges myself...

Throwing on a new fuel filter later today. I think the one on there now at 110,000 is the stock one.

Rewired truck trailer plug and installed new wiring/lights on boat trailer. Ready to fish the Missouri River now with good lights on the trailer to get there.

Lol it runs good, but it definitely needs a little fine tuning, which is what MPT is for. My only complaint is that it needs the shift points moved a little, especially in WOT. Other that that, it's definitely a panty dropper lol

I'll get some videos up later.

Bought an Explorer OHC and double visors. Installed the visors but waiting on the wiring and console until I drop the headliner to recover it.

I flushed the power steering fluid on my rig. It was black, now it's a nice shade of ATF red. Did the brake fluid too. Had some sediment in the lines and only a small bottle of fluid. I bought a thirty two ounce bottle and will flush it real good tomorrow.

tail gate handle lube

The tail gate on my 98 range was stiff and groaned everyime I opened it up;
Removed the 8 T-30's which not only removed the gate cover but also the screws for the inspection plate as well.
Lubed her up good,
Now the handle is easy as pie.

Pulled a lot of old wiring out of the truck, remove a cb antenna, and cleaned the interior. Just bought the truck and trying to make it feel like mine.

New Exhaust

Installed a new Dynomax cat back exhaust, Dynomax part number 39315. Single - 2.5" Cat-Back System - Ultra Flo™ Polished Muffler. Not really loud but it does have a nice tone, will probably get louder as it burns in.

Did them,and gear indicator adjust

A nice spring day, the Ranger needed a couple of instrument lites, so out came the 1/4 set and my speed driver (black & Decker 3.6 volt).

Followed the very excellent write up in this forum, piece of cake even if it did take most of the day.

Having such a nice time of it and the day was still young, broke open the cluster to chase some dust spots and cleaned lens with aerospace 303 Protectant. Good stuff, used in aviation.

Still wanted more do I pulled the gear indicator for cleaning and adjustment. This was the hardest part of the day, said "dang" twice

Also installed the route 66 highway badge to back up the ford emblem. All in all a sweet day..

Ordered remote control for the after market kenwood, maybe I can use it yet. love to swap for original. Will sleep good tonight... Gungho
