Well not today, lets go back 2 days. Loaded up my truck w/a bunch of crap that is going back to NJ with me. I even used a forklift to load it up. Gotta love working in a warehouse.

(sorry no pics of the forklift actually loading the truck, forgot to take them)

Yesterday unloaded the truck in NJ. Wasn't fun unloading by hand.

Icon10 Shes Got Air!!!!

I finally got a A/C hose for her today. Talk about a headache. I havent had air in this truck atleast the last 5 years. Believe it or not shes blowing cold. I knew the hose was bad but I was worried every other part of the A/C system would be broke or something. It was weird driving with my windows up. In thei AZ heat it will sure be nice to have cool air blowing inside I think Im back in love with her.

Replaced the valve cover gaskets, hopefully that will stop some of the leak. They were seriously nasty gunked up on the outside with thick sticky oil/dirt. Have to move a bunch of stuff to get to the valve covers on a 3.0L. I didn't run it long enough to see if it still leaks, but I did make sure it still starts.

seemed like I didn't push on it hard at all, but while working the valve covers the heater valve broke apart, so had to replace that also.

Installed 4 new speakers, hid the wires from the amp under the carpet, covered all the additional wires under the hood from previous installations of accessories with blue casings. Vacuumed, took it through the car wash, got the pine sap off, and cleaned the junk out of the cab, glovebox, console, and bed.

Today was change the AT fluid and filter. I had bought the stuff a few days ago, the guy at the parts store asked me if I had a shallow or deep pan on the tranny. I had looked at it and it didn't seem unusually deep, so I said shallow. Today found out it was deep, so back to the store, exchange and kick in an extra $5. $5 just to get the same filter but with a little thin plastic cylinder on it to reach to the bottom of the deeper pan. Just glad I have another vehicle so I didn't have to put it back together to get to the store.

It's a messy job. Wish they had put a drain plug on the pan.

Also took the hitch off the wrecked 97, at some point I'll put that on the 96. The ball on the stock bumper is a bit high off the ground
