bought a set of new areostar drums to intall, they are much heavier and are finned, will cool better and less likely to warp/crack.

I FINALLY made the back of the cab clean looking again. This time, VERY clean looking. Also gave the passenger some newfound room to recline without hitting the sub box.

BTW...thread is finally stickied!

this weekend I ripped into my brakes.
Found a warped rotor and replaced.
Found that both of my drums had pieces missing from the lip, replaced both. I knew I had e-brake problems and when I took driver's drum off, everything was roasted. Shoes were cracking up and everything looked baked. New pads and a hardware kit finished off the day.

Scrubbed off some rust from front bumper then polished with Blue Magic. Removed gauge "window" and cleaned it up. Now I can see my gauges! Lol. Oh, and I shopped for new bumpers.

This was done over a 4 day weekend. Put new headlights and corners, reverse glow gauges, and found a OHC at the junkyard for $4.

before

after
