What kind of bulb gives off a white glow? I am looking to replace my front corner bulbs and front blinkers, but I want th bulbs to glow white. They have a yellowish/gold color to them now. Also, where should I get them?

I had wal-mart bought 194s. They are blue, but light up bright white, with a slight blueish tint. They also havce the 3157s that are blue bulbs, but light up VERY bright white. Friends hate it when they brake down and I'm behind them with the4 way flashers on.

 

yea I know the feelin... I've been trying to get my hands on some of those chrome stealth bulbs...tried one guy had to call him, so I could find out what was the deal, he said they were on backorder...so I ordered from some dude on ebay, and no response yet... I swear its annoying...

I got amber...this is just some pic to show ya...

 

I got the chrome covered ones, but they burn amber......to comply with the law. I also have the chrome corner bulbs too.

Careful with the coloured bulbs though......amber is the only "legal" colour. Just don't ask why if you're ever pulled over. LOL

 

I know here in Oregon, amber or white can be used in signals and runnign lights. that's one of the reasons I'm not running the blue glass'd ones anymore....got pulled over twice for them....Now running basically stockers sylvania ambers.

 

I don't know if clear is legal here, but I have been running them for about 2 years. I got pulled over in FL and the cops never said anything about the lack of yellow, I also got out of the ticket they were gonna give me. I ordered the LED's today. Woowhoo!

 

looks like your paying it forward evan...evan and i have the exact same bulbs, and you'll be satisfied. the blue covered ones are ok but eventually that lovely blue covering fades and peels....

as far as legal goes, i've had more problems with the blue coated ones than that led ones and plus here, they just dont care that much unless it's obvious it's blue which the leds aren't
