what level is your ranger on?

ok, you've modded it...you've off-roaded it...you've cruised it around town...

for instance, my truck would be deemed high-all terrain level in my opinion...i'm lifted on bigger tires, but i dont think, or wouldnt want to hurt the truck by going thru a huge HUGE mud hole or river...yet i can wheel it around the trails with ease

yet at the same time, i see brenton and john griggs rollin in the mud, and they're only a 2wd truck...granted, on big tires, but still...they're twice as screwed if they get stuck....

My ranger is on the stock level....im too damn broke right now...soon enough!

I enjoy being stock being able to go up some of the tougher trails here in the mountains, but just 32's or 33's arent going to do the trick. You need more than just tires around here. While I love mudding, it doesnt require the greatest ground clearence, yes it helps but its definatly not as needed

My only performance mod as far as off-road ability is the limited slip axle, which is a great help w/ a 2wd. My street-bias tires still cripple me when the going gets rough, so I classify my truck as 95% on-road, 5% off-road.

ehh.. for off road capability, id say im like a 6 maybe.. i've gone up a size in tires, and i've got 4x4 with the SOHC.. but as far as suspension and stuff.. i've done nothing.. i could do lots to gain those other 4 points to consider myself a 10.

for street, like a 5.. ive got an intake and exhaust, and a jet chip.. but who doesnt. again.. i could do sooo much more to have better street preformance.

Street Performance and Road Racing

If my truck drove in my yard, it would explode....

Keep it in the twisties, and magic happens....

I have a car driver's mentality, with the storage/hauling needs of a trucker. I made a compromise.

1 to 10 rating? 8 on the street, 3 offroad.

I need more motor to be a ten on street. Handling and braking are top notch....

Speaking of driving in the yard I did that with my truck in my backyard like after it had rainined for about 2 days straight cuz thats where I used to pull it to wash it and I got stuck like a ****. My back tires dug holes in the yard from me trying to get out which are still there today. My rating 10 on the street, 0 offroad my truck learned it's lesson about tryin to go offroad that day.

I'm a poor bastard, so mine is mostly used for daily driver purposes, But it does see off-road and mud at times. I don't know what to rate it, 1-10 prob a 5 or 6.

Mine is all street, although if I get the itch bad enough I take it offroad. Those dream beams can take a beating. I've had the whole truck off the ground before.

Well......
My truck used to be an OR hound! Spent every other weekend in Wharton wheeling with the guys from TRS and over at Mott... So it spent prob 40% in the dirt and 60% on the pavement. Then I hit the police academy... My free time went to ZERO and the truck became the daily driver only no OR! NOW I am working and have that little "sports car" (which I love BTW) and the truck just sits in the driveway waiting for an excuse to hit the mud again.. So I guess it is now the "trail rig."

Same as my truck. You ride a shopping cart around for fifteen minutes, then we drive around in my truck, and you'll swear you're doing laps at Nascar.

My truck is sortof stock, I need new tires, so right now its onroad wanting to be offroaded. Oh and its 3.0, so I sure as hell am not street racing.
