Slight bit of squeek from exhaust.. think this might work?
From the drivers side exhaust of my si/do straight back exhaust, its gotten a tad tight against the bumper adn causes a little bit of a rickity sound.. not fully squeeking like rubbign metal on metal, and not that loud.. but I had an interesting Idea to try and fix it..
Do you figure I will be able to successfully wrap it in this:
http://www.amazon.com/Nashua-386-Sil...8996891&sr=1-1
and wrap it back a few inches from directly under the exhaust/bumper area, Im not sure of the temperature of the exhaust.. but I am pretty sure this wrap will hodl up against it, and keep it looking good. What do you figure of the durability of this stuff? Having to put two or three layers wouldnt bug me at all.. but Just getting a general idea of what you all might think about it.

Yup positive.. welds ar eholding tight :-) Bent down and checked it during the daylight today.. I will scoot over to the shop a bit later this week, see if they can plop it down.. an 1/8th inch or so. It only started recently.. and I think its because of a slight mishap dealing with turning around in the middle of a road in 4 low and needing the steep hill behind me to move backwards about an inch for a touchless 10-star turn :-p Nedless to say, I came home with mud on my bumper and a neat little christmas tree stickign out from under my spare tire

They heated up the welds and broke it loose, then dropped it a teeny bit.. told them 1/8 will work perfectly, and it sounds as mean as it did before.. only meaner now, no little chirp chirp whenever Im idling and its quiet enough to actually hear it =)
What can I say.. I also got some folks to turn there heads and back off a bit when they were in their little honda civic with a fartcan at a stop light.. they did that old, accelerate and brake crap to make it seem like they wanted to race.. so I hit the gas a few times and pumped 5k RPM's and they stopped showing off, and looked straight forward as soon as they heard some roaring and meaty pops coming form my back end. God, I love trucks
Edit: reminds me, forgot to let ya know, the weather has been too nasty//windy//rainy for me to get a good vieo of my exhaust... I'll do it whenever weather permits.. but it has been really nasty in the Gorge over here near Vancouver.. had to drive home in a wind rough enough to push me over the yellow line today.. not far, but enough to make me let off the gas a bit
