My idiot brother had my dads 2004 Ford Ranger Edge tailgate down and back the truck into a wall. I was looking to possibly buy him a replacement tailgate on my drive home, but I was curious... Do they sell (where because I can't find them) the tailgates some of the larger trucks have?

backing into the front door of the house while it was open. I think the kid is brain dead.

 

The air gates are crap, over time they can make the bed sides weak. The other gate is for trucks with 5th wheels so you may never find a ranger one.

 

Ah... good explanation. Just kind of liked the look of them. Am I best off just buying a used white one and having it painted to match?

you can get any color and have it painted to match. check craigslist and car-part.com. you could probably find one cheap.
