DAMN CONSTRUCTION...Wheel Help
so i was pulling into lowes and there was a bulldozer blocking the enterance because they are building a new Texas Roadhouse right in front of the lowes so everybody pulling in is told to go around....im going around i park and i hear a slow hiss coming from my truck and i just ignore it thinking its my exhaust since i just drove through a puddle in the parking lot.....i come outside and see my rear right tire getting low on air....get closer to the truck and still hear the hiss so now i know its the damn tire...must have run something over through that construction site....went to a local tire place and they say that there are three nails and that they are too deep to for the tire to be repaired so i had to get a new tire down the street, lowering my funds for wheels i was going to get.
since my funds have been reduced cuz of buying a new tire, i am going to get the 15x8 cragars with 4" B/S instead of the 15x10s or the 15x8 AR CIIs.
with the 33s, will the tires stick out at least to the flares or maybe a bit further with the 15x8s?
very pissed off i had to get a new tire

no i don't have the tire it was 3 roofing nails and i went down the street on the least bit of air to get a new tire since i didn't have my spare on the truck...(bad idea). i probably might not have needed the new tire but i needed to get home lol stupid move but in a way, it had to be done.

Ouch that must suck and to the guy that started the thread you got screwed man unless the nails where in your sidewall.

How does something go too deep into a tire? It goes all the way through if it punctures it,hence air loss. That should have been able to have been plugged unless they were too close to the shoulders of the tire. If they were in the sidewalls, then yes you'd need a replacement.
However, you already got a new tire and that totally sucks when you have to buy just one.

I work at discount tire and if the tire has three holes in it, it is shot. you can only repair a tire if the holes are 90 degrees away from each other. and you can only put three patches in a tire. to deep wouldnt matter. if the holes are next to eachother the tire is done. its a safety issue.
