It's going to be the same. I doubt they will change anything on the last year of production.

If they did, that's news to me. I have read everywhere that it will be gone after 09 and replaced with a midsize.

That's what I have read. I have heard several things, but again, it's all just speculation. The one thing I keep seeing or hearing repeated is a remake of the F100 as the replacement.

its sounds like dead silence over at the Ranger plant... I wouldn't mind being called a F-100 as long as we get a 3.5L duratec, most people are not gonna want V8's geeze gas is going up so much, by summer 08' its gonna be 3.50 gal.

True, but a Diesel in one of these ought to get around 27mpg.

I'm told the 2008's on the lots are the last of the Rangers. The 2009 F150 is released already as far as showing what it looks like, and the Ranger replacement is supposed to be a 2010 model, but my get intro'd early like the Super Duty for 2008.

this is my guess, they will come out with a mid-size truck, it won't sell, then they put the ranger name back on it.

it's not so much the name...it's a great truck. Especially with gas prices, you'd think the smaller trucks would be doing better. They keep pushing their larger trucks - I'm not sure that's where the market will go, but I'm far from anyone who should be making a business decision

I dont get that.. diesel is cheaper to manufacture.. therefore it should be cheaper in its final price than gas..

Put it back to stock and see. If you are that worried about gas, rolling on 35 ain't the way to go...
