Paid $250 for the truck it ran but the engine was shot broken rings on the #2 piston cracked #3 piston and a bent rod on the #4 piston have no idea what they did to the poor little truck but after rebuild kit and all machine work i have 900 bucks in the truck with a new engine :). Not to bad i say.

 

My '93 i got as a gift from a friend of mine. He only paid $50 dollars for it from a guy at his work who had the truck willed to him from the original owner. 136k on it. then it got totaled and i got $2500 for it

 

I got my 97 for free. Then i found a 99 3.0 for $250 with blown head gaskets $75 and a weekend got it fixed.

 

I paid 18K Brand new out the door in 2004 for a loaded Level II with only two options not picked up, leather adn automatic. It stickered for 27 and some change

In July of '03 I bought my '02 4 door, 4 liter 2WD XLT with 6,005 miles on the clock for $11,500 out the door. I think the blue book was $17,900.

 

Worked at the dealership, Employee discount plus 2500 rebates = 18K. I would never pay more than 20K for a ranger, I could've had a F150 brand new for 25K at one point.

I didn't get mine as cheap as some here but still I feel I got a good deal. I got an '02 back in 2010 with 140,000 miles for $4200. It's 2wd Ext cab 4 door with the 4.0 auto.

 

i got another 90 ranger for free.guy said his daughter wrecked and thought it was totaled.i changed two front tire where she bent the rims and she runs fine.i have my other 90 i bought 900 and she is a dream come true.

 

I got my '10 for 16k, had 11k on the clock when I picked it up. Nada value on the truck was over 20k.

 

got mine in '07 for 7200 after taxes with 95400miles on it.

 

got my 2003 in 2007 for $9,950 with 31,500 miles on it. it was in like new condition and new it would have cost me around $20,000 so i figure i got it for half price. it wasn't cheap but a great value as it has already lasted me for 5 years, and it still looks like new and only has 50 k on it. it'll be paid off this april and i'll probably keep it another 5-10 years. that's really good bang for the buck.

 

Paid 5k for my 01' XLT 4.0 4x4 with ~80000 miles about 4 years ago. Bought it from a guy that worked at the plant here in MN. When it was open

Got my 05 fx4 level II for $8600 with 94k miles a few years ago when the kbb was about $13k

 

not the greatest deal, but the best i could find. 99 XLT offroad 4x4 4L 5 speed extended cab, tow package, and liner. 189k on the clock for $3800.

Does "free" count? That is how I got the 84 L/B 4wd. One spare tranny later, (Willie and friends sing here-- 'On the road again. I just can't wait to get on the road again.') It even ended up with a M5 in it.
