Fixt-a-Squeak

Drivers door squeak occurred driving with the window down and when closing the door and if you banged on the door. Skipping the bloody details it turns out the window channel toward the rear of the door has a separate lower piece about a foot long that clips to an upper section as you can see in the pic. It was loose and dry so I greased it and the end up inside the door plus squoze the clip tighter. That fixt it.

Took me quite a while to see that it would come out. I could see up in there and get my hand in but couldn't do both at the same time.

I used the white grease in the other pic. Bought that for $1.00 in 1974 and thot I was getting shafted. Nuther 10-15 years might get my moneys worth out of it.
