To fix part of the problem I put a piece of foam with adhesive backing on the back of the plastic washer that separates the door panel and the handle, that took away a lot of it. Now the actual **** part vibrates lol.
To fix the **** from vibrating I found a screw that would fit in the hole ont he back that put just enough pressure to keep them from vibrating but would still let them move freely.
Haven't had a problem since.....
Cooke15, I have had trouble with loose ***** on the handles on Fords since I started driving in 1958. I have removed the handle and drilled out the rivet and replaced it with a bolt with the nut locktited on. It keeps it tight for a while and then I had to tighten them again. All the auto's have that problem. It's been that way since window cranks were put on cars.
What about a fabric type washer between the **** and handle? Is there a way to remove the **** itself? Man these things drive me nuts. I hate power windows I enjoy the "strongarm" system.
