I'm a part time car dealer and just sold the white one (avatar) to a local kid. The blue one was an absolute STEAL!! That's why I drove 200 miles to STL for it.
The story:
It was a hot rainy afternoon across the Show Me state when the little blue Ranger made her way to Arkansas. My head was dancing with ideas for Little Miss Ranger. First off, new tires, as her rear tires are noticably worn. Just outside Cape Girardeau, Mo, the clouds lifted and the rain stopped. As we started over an overpass at 65mph, a simple puddle of water spun the rear of Little Miss Ranger across the left lane and into the concrete divider. Miss Ranger struck her right headlight on the divider which quickly sent us spinning until the rear slammed the divider as well. As we sailed back across both lanes of traffic, the guard rail was the next target. When the smoke from the airbag cleared, Little Miss Ranger lay helpless along side the road.
Oh, and with my dealer tag...liability insurance only.
She's in the body shop now awaiting her cosmetic surgery.

damn.. i hit some ice in my old chevy, swung the back end around. i got it straight just in time to hit the tree square on doing about 15 mph by that point on a 45 degree downhill. no airbags or anything... hit right on the frame, dead square. if it had been any more towards the middle, things would have been very different and much worse. all i needed was a new hood, headlight, bumper, grill, radiator, and left quarter panel. unfortunately, those parts were worth more than the truck (89 with about 160k on it)
thats how i ended up with my ranger 6 months later, and a good lesson on how rwd and light backends suck
glad to hear you are okay though.
