Is this really what our world has come to? We're so worried about "global warming" and being "green" that we have to create crap products like this?
I am very disappointed in this particular build for two reasons:
ONE
Look at this intake ducting. Notice the large "expansion chamber" towards the front of the vehicle.
Here's a close up;
HMmmmm...that's funny. It sure seems to fit over the upper radiator hose like it was designed to. Wouldn't that increase the temperature of the intake air and make it less efficient?
(warmer air=less dense)
I guess their attempt to make up for this is shown here. With ample room to put a mechanical fan in place, they chose dual electric. (Load on Alternator to power fans greater than load of mechanical fan?)
Here a shot of the aforementioned AMPLE room...
Another problem area I noticed was the brake booster vacuum line had a t-fitting with a rubber nipple covering it, as if it were a service port. No clamps on anything. Could all easily be disassembled by hand. Why risk a brake failure with a stupid move like this???

So are you an engineer? Have you run tests to see what worked better on that particular engine?
Also a mechanical fan is always going to produce some drag. An electric fan is only going to run when it needs to, and not at speed. The truck more than likely gets better mileage all around with electric fans.
The intake looks stupid but I bet it is quiet and still gets plenty cool air.

wow the ignorance in this post is amazing, its not and expansion chamber to help with emissions, its a silencer to keep in cab noise down. dual electric fans decrease load on the crank so i dont know why your complaining about that, its not like the motor is working harder to spin the alternator that already had to be there to provide the motor its own electricity so why not use it and decrease the likely hood of a mechanical failure since these things are warrentied.

The resonator is designed to keep intake volume down so someone's wife doesn't complain about a loud engine. Your engine doesn't care what temp the intake air is either. It can change for that.
That's a test port to check for vacuum leaks. Would you rather break a connector or have to search for a tee fitting to test for proper vacuum? No. No you wouldn't.
More load on the alternator!?!? WTF. Do you have ANY mechanical background at all? You would think that all those pimped out hotrods out there would just be DYING to put on mechanic fans since their twin electrics rob soooo much power. Oh wait.. they don't.
With the Electronic throttle. You think that maybe it opens easier so you don't have whiplash leaving red lights? Maybe the tune it so it opens slower when you are in 4-lo so you can easily crawl over objects and rough terrain. Did you think of that? No.
Stop being dumb.

the 4.6 is a pile of **** anyways, its got no power judging by the one my friend had.
and to the idiot that said you're engine doesn't care what temp the air is???
Ever heard of an intercooler? Methanol Injection? Cold air intake? And I even think a dry shot of nitrous cools the air down.. Colder air = more dense = more air can be shoved into the cylinder (assuming it knows to add more fuel) you get more power... because more of both, simply makes more power.
but what do I know?
