It bypasses the hot water from the throttle body. By doing that it reduces the intake temps a bit. The reason coolant goes through the throttle body is to is to keep ice off from building up in really cold climates.

ditto. newer years don't have coolant running through it. the colder the air, the more oxygen, so the more go go.

I know my intake is composite, and that 3.0 pictured is cast..so...idk. I see no fittings in that area of my 4.0, so i assume you've gotta take the intake off and drill and tap some holes? idk. blah.

I did this on my Civic. All you had to do was bypass the coolant lines that ran to the throttle body. From what I have seen they never run it through the intake manifold to the throttle body.

why would you want to add coolant to the T/B this is talking about skipping it from running into it...

^^I know that....I'm one of those members who reads....I see a tube that loops.....if there's no fittings/threads there to put that loop, ones would have to be made.

remember...I havn't heard of this mod until today...

Shane i would bet your T/B has no coolent running to it...

how about heading down to the parts store getting a new T/B gasket and take it off and clean the T/B and while you are cleaning it to make it all pretty have a looksy and see if there is any coolent port?

I don't think there was any holes in the T/B spacer you added Shane. So I'd say there isn't any coolant running to the T/B
