Temporary, no spark

After driving for a while, once every 25-30 times, if I try to immediately restart the vehicle I get no electical spark. The engine just cranks. If I leave it alone for about 20-25 minutes it will restart as if there was no problem.

I figure its an electronic part gone bad...either the control module ($110) or one or both of the ignition coils ($45 each) (dual plug 4 cyliner). I don't want to be replacing any good parts. Anybody have a similar experience?

I had a similar problem with my lawnmower where it cut out but would restart after it cooled down. I found that was a bad ignition coil module.

Is this the 2.3L with the ICM mounted on
the driver's side intake?

Those symptoms certainly sound like a
faulty Ignition Control Module.

Do you get a CEL? If so, have the codes read;
that'll point to the problem......
