ABS Issues?

Not sure if this falls in this category due to the fact I'm unsure about the nature of the problem! Anyway, I just got my brakes done and couple days after I noticed some issues with them. When I try to come to a stop about 1 time out of 3 the brake pedal will start wobbling under my foot as though the ABS would kick in (like on ice?) so I thought perhaps air in the brakes would do something similar(???) but I decided to try and take my ABS fuse out... so I did, and the problem is gone. So now I'm wondering where could to issue come from, I know its most likely the ABS but where do I go from here?

I'd just like to elaborate on the braking issue a little bit. When I'm driving at a normal speed I can't press the brake as hard as I want and the truck will stop without any issues or pedal wobbling, but lets say I'm braking to stop at a red light, it will be fine until I reach about 5 ish km/h then the brakes start wobbling and I loose any kind of braking power until I remove my foot from the brake and re apply pressure.

Some people will tell me to remove the ABS fuse and drive without them. I'm fine with driving without ABS' but not in the winter. So I'd rather try and fix the issue.

Also no error code in the ecu. Did a full scan(someone told me ABS sensors might trigger a CEL if they go bad?)

It is my understanding that the ABS sensors/rings can get dirty or damaged and cause this symptom. I think it is usually the front wheel ABS rings that cause the problem. You can try cleaning them and if that doesn't help replace them. I don't know the details of replacing them.

I had funny problem about 3 months ago on my 08 FX4 4x4 with the ABS system. As I would slow down for a stop, when I got to within about 4-5 feet of stopping, the brakes felt like they were somehow releasing for a few seconds. Felt similar to if the truck suddely went out of gear into neutral. Turned out the ABS sensors on the front brakes had failed. Once they replaced, everything was fine again.
