radar jammer
Ok so thursday evening my dad and i went to drop his corrvette off at a friends house to get some Corsa mufflers on it. So after we droped it off we had to go clean up a sunroom my dad is buiding and i didnt know were is was so he asked me if he wanted me to drive and i said sure go for it. so we pull out of his lane and the speed limit goes from 35 to 25 in like 20 feet so we pass the speed limit sign and we see a state trooper jump into the road and flag us down. Needless to say he gave him a ticket. So what i am wondering is does anyone know were i can get one of those radar jammers.

First of all they have never been proven to work and thats the only reason they are legal. They are supposed to have a magnet in them that spins around at a fast rate of speed sending out a DC signal that interupts the radar that the cop is sending out. If they truely did work they would be outlawed by the FCC. So long story short dont waste your money, just get a good detector and call it a day.

Radar and laser are two totally different things and one has no bearing on the other. Radar is radio waves. The only way to jam is to transmit your own more powerful radio waves. This would violate half the FCC regulation book and probably cook your brain at the same time. There is no such thing on the consumer market and the DoD won't sell to you either.
Laser is light beams. Laser jamming is possible since it is simply light outside the visible spectrum, but it is expensive. There are elaborate laser jamming systems with emmiters that you place on the dash and in the grill if you feel compelled. It is likely that the ones that are only the unit on the dash won't do much.

The only radar jammers that are worth a damn are 'active' jammers, about the size of an old boombox(imagine trying to hide that on your dash), and are a FELONY to possess. The 'passive' jammers have been proven time and time again to be b.s. Laser jammers are legal, but cost upwards of $1,000 and use 3-4 sensors mounted on the front and rear of the vehicles plates(reflective surface).
I recently got a cheapo Cobra for $39, I take the same route to work every day and noticed where the cops sit and hide. This gives me plenty of warning if they are around. There is no magical device that will prevent you from getting a ticket so the best I can say is just be careful.
