99 Airbag want to install into our 98 Ranger?
We have a 98 Ranger had some front end damage straighten out the frame and installed a new core support, we have another 99 Ranger and wanted to take the airbags and modules out and install them. The 99 modules are not in the same location and have not found them yet seeking help with the location and wanted to know if we can make this work.
Thank you for you advice and help!!!

I don't know which year they changed locations but I think your 1998 module is in the RH kick panel and maybe 99 up started putting them behind the center console/cup holders.
I know my 2000 had it behind the cup holders.
The air bags should work, if anything the connector that connects to the steering column maybe slightly different.

99 Ranger Airbag intall into a 98 Ranger
Thank you for a reply the airbag Modules on the 98 where out front on the core support and the wires are feed from the main wiring harness, noticed that the two trucks were different and still need to look in the 99 for the modules; the two airbags appear to be the same and hope they shall be able to be changed out. We got the frame straighten out and the new core support is ready to be welded in. Truck has a 2.5L with a 5 speed purchased this project after the last snow storm up here. saving it from the scrap yard.
Thank you again for your time and help!!!!

We want to do a total transplant of the Airbags system from our 99 Ranger into the 98 Ranger the Airbags look exactly the the same with different #. We want to take out the modules and rewire it into the harness and correct any other computer issues. Have any of you guys tried this?
Looking for some positive feedback. We have all the parts and just need to provide the labor.
