Gauge Light Wiring

I got my Autometer Gauges ready to go in tommorow.

The way the light works is it just has a positive and a negative. The positive I *want* to be hot only when the headlight switch is on. I just need what color wire it is that the headlight switch is on. I don't even know where to begin. Also, I would like a dimmer, I know I can tap off of the radio bezel, but is there another way? And the instructions say to connect that to the negative, does that seem right?

Basically, I just need the color/location of a wire that will only be hot when the headlight switch is turned (to either parking lamps or headlight on position).

I just want my lights ONLY on when the rest of my interior lights are on.

Edit: Is it light blue/red??? Should be by the radio?

yeah you can get to it by pulling the fuse block out then run the wire behind the a-piller.
make sure if you use a scotch-lok its on all the way.

The LB/RD is the dash illumination from the dimming module. It is available at several locations around the dash area. It doesn't actually go the fuse panel but removing the panel may allow you to reach the wire at the back of the headlight switch/dimming module. The LB/RD should be connected to the positive illumination wire of the gauge.
