turn signal shifter loose

Noticed a strange problem recently after putting my billet *** cover on my turn signal shifter. Although it might have been this way before. Anyways it seems too loose.

For example when I use it to engage my right turn signal and then let it fall back to its normal position after completing the turn it will instead fall all the way down and turn on the left signal instead.

Is there any way to tighten the turn signal shifter up inside my steering column or some way to resolve it(besides removing the billet piece)?

Thanks :) It's been driving me crazy the past week haha.

i dont think so. you can try removing the steering column shroud and tightening the multifunction switch down....but i think thats about it. you could also buy a new switch off of amazon for $60
