Need some help....

Had some starter problems before everything went down hill. Pulled off the old starter..teeth were about gone. FLYWHEEL IS OK!

Got a new starter...ended up being the wrong one because it didn't engage the flywheel. Found out my ignition switch will turn on the fuel pump but won't turn over the engine at all! So I had to use a screwdriver on the solenoid. New starter would spin.
Went to go get a new starter that would work and got a new solenoid.

Well I put the new starter on and solenoid...key still did the same thing so I bumped the solenoid and truck cranked right up....
Well drove it around some and then all of a sudden my starter engaged...so I had to rush out and pull the ground off.....it kept doing this until I got home and tried to figure out the problem.

Went to go get a new ignition switch and key switch....same ****. NOTHING. I don't know what is wrong.

ANY IDEAS!?!?!

Thanks.
