Ok Guys will i be ok?

I need to get my Mustang gt Tuned im in St Louis MO , And need to trailer it down to georiga 9 hrs 514 miles. Total weight car/trailer is 4500lbs I have a 2006 ranger fx4 offroad with the 4.0 v6 . Auto tranny with cooler. 5000 lbs class 3 hitch. Electronic Break controler with breaks on the trailer. I plan on staying right at 60 mph

Yeah man, that is right in there with a rock stock auto's towing capacity. I wouldn't leave it in OD just because of the excess heat. Granted, it will use more fuel in 4th but hey, a little more fuel is worth it to make sure the tranny stays nice and cool.

you will be fine. i did three trips with a loaded car trailer behind my 3.0 reg.cab 4wd EDGE.

jus use your head when braking. lotsa weight behind a relatively smaller truck.

What rpms will i be at On the highway doing 65 mph in 4th

I believe it's just a tad over 3k or right at 3k. It's fine, sounds high but not really. At least not when you are used to building Hondas as well lol.

The block itself is stock (as in the hunk of aluminum) and that is it.

Hey now, my import was built here :D


Some of my American cars have been giving more jobs to Canadians and Mexicans than my Hondas and Mitsubishis have.
Can't say **** about my Subaru though, that thing was brought over on a boat, 100% Japanese so feel free to rag me like mad on that one lol.
