I have a 96 ranger, i put a carburated toyota 22r motor and trans in. I took the ranger wire harness that attached to the motor out, now i cant get power inside my cab. no lights, no power to the key switch. did i disconnect something else? or do i need to put the harness back in and then cut out what i dont need? im gonna use a gm 3 wire altenator, does the plug ins on the ranger altenator effect any thing like powering something? or can i just wire up the new altenator and not worry about the plug?
