Need new battery

Im heading to sears in about an hour or so for a new battery. My stock battery after 5 years and 70k miles finally crapped out on me this morning for the first time. Any suggestions on brands?

That's what I will be upgrading to when my battery decides to go. Then my lights won't bring the charge down so much.

you can go to autozone or walmart and get the same battery as a sears die hard.. only cheaper.
they are the same battery made by johnson controls.. the best batteries on the market imho.

I just got an Optima Yellow Top this past week. It is by far the best battery I have ever owned. They are $$$ but I think all would agree they're good.

I was thinking about the Red Top, but the Yellow Top is deep cycle and can be discharged & charged without killing it. Plus, it has like 750ca, which is about 350 more than the factory battery.

I never had any problems with the EverStart batteries until I started wanting to power accesories with the engine off. Small batteries are made to crank the engine and not too much more. They don't have the reserve capacity typically, and if you run them down too frequently they tend to die quickly.

Glad you got your battery situation figured out. A truck that won't start is no fun.

you can't go wrong with johnson controls batteries... and they usually come with pretty good warranties.
