Hmmm.. Starter problems?

Allrighty, well I started having start-up problems about a month ago.. well a few days ago the battery finally died out, old POS Kirkland brand battery, so I replaced it with an Autocrafters Silver POS battery, why? Cause thats all they had where I stopped, and I've had good luck with Advance Auto.

Now, it's taking a good 3-5 rev's or turns before the engine starts up.

turn key, rev rev rev , engine starts.

I need an oil change, but I doubt that will solve the problem, any ideas?

I don't feel like spending $100's of dollars on a new starter if I don't have to.

I seriously doubt its the oil.....I cant see how it would be. Does it turn over fast or slowly or what? does it always do this? Maybe the specs....(amperage and stuff) is the same as what you had.

I can't think of a good way of describing the sound.. lol..

It's almost like a lawn mower that needs to be choked.

Once it fires up, it runs good.

Perhaps new sparkplugs?
