Anyone in Anaheim/Orange CA have an SWR meter?

RadioShack no longer sells them or does testing... or at least, the one by my house doesn't. The guy over the phone at best buy was like "wtf is SWR?"

Try calling Ham Radio Outlet in Anaheim. They don't do CB but they may be able to point you in the right direction. Or try Fry's. They still carry a lot of CB and odd ball electronics.

Nick, check out a place in orange called The Solder Joint. Its a small little 2 way radio shop. Does cb radio stuff too. Their phone number is on their site.

heres their website: http://www.thesolderjoint.com/

and the address: 808 North Tustin Street, Orange, California 92867

He should be able to help you out in getting a SWR meter, or tuning your antenna (if that is what you are doing).

Otherwise check out HRO. (Ham Radio Outlet) im sure theyll have one for ya.

id personaly advise against HRO. im a ham radio operator. i use CB for trail rideing and various other tasks. most hams have a problem with anyone who likes CB. its kinda a deal of ford vs. chevy. hro sales people can get real pissy, about cb questions. i learned that the hard way when i got my ham lic. im one of few hams who has no issue with cb'ers.

just giving ya a fair warning. save ya some trouble.

i have a swr meter. a good online retailer of CB gear ive found is www.walcottcb.com

hopefuly my .0002cents made a damn.

Thanks Nick T.

My school is pretty close to the solder joint. I'll have to check 'em out.
