CB cable to Spring Antenna

How's this work?

I understand the antenna screw into the spring, and the spring is mounted onto your bracket via it's 1/4 inch bolt and nut.. (MIssing the nut on mine)

How the hell do you hook the cable up to the spring?

PLEASE PM, OUT OF TOWN FOR SEVERAL DAYS

There should be an adapter nut that you screw the cable into on the bottom.

Is this what I need?

What I need is basicly something that will allow me to mount the spring to alon's bracket and then connect the cable to the spring/bracket..

Should be but I wouldnt pay that for it. I got my spring and that for like 10 bucks. The antenna will be swinging alot though with a spring on it. I took mine off. If oyu go offroad under low trees then the spring will save the antenna.

Finally got it attached!!!

Just need to figure out where I want to mount the antenna tie down thing.

I could drill into the fiberglass cap, but I think It may be too much work, not to mention possible leakage..

Okay. How tall of an antenna?? if she's a 4 footer, you shouldn't have to tie it down, unless you got a "springy" spring. I mean a loose spring. I mean a "weak" spring. Get what I'm saying??

i would recommend the "10ft" spring with the 4ft antenna..

i have a fiberglass one, been on for 8+months, still stands straight, and it still flops around and can be amusing on the trails
my friend on the other hand, bought the 4ft spring, and hes had his for a few months less than me, his is all saggy and floppy, needless to say it looks like crap

just my $0.02

edit: mines attached to the toolbox, so it sits up around 9ft..

That's a great suggestion. I'm probably going to pick some of those springs up tomarrow. Can you PM me a pic of your mount/spring/antenna/toolbox. I just wanna see it.

I'm running mirror mounts, minus the extra piece on the back. Yea, That's no problem waiting. I have family there, I love visiting during the storm season. It's exciting for a kid from Oregon.

Oh yea...found this a while back. I havn't actually looked through it thuroughly. I know you can get a 7ft firestik...I havn't seen anything taller than that.
