auto door locks...

i've seen a thread or two in the past on this and how some wish they could mod something to allow it, well i upgraded my alarm/remote-start yesterday and auto-locks is one of the features. doors lock when the vehicle is started i and they unlock when it's turned off. many other cool features of this alarm too. by the way it's a python 881XP. see it here

I need to know your all's opinons. What's better Viper or Python? I now know that someone has a Python, but what about Viper, I heard they are like the Mac daddy. I figured It wouldn't be too smart to get that $1,200.00 sound system with a REAL alarm, and maybe GPS tracking ^_^.

My friend has an alarm on his Civic where if you tap on the window it will flash the lights and beep the horn, but if you break the beeotch out, it will go nuts and sound the horn and the alarm siren. Now do you think that would be effective?

DEI or Directed Electronics makes all the big alarms out there basically. they are all the same. Viper somehow made its way to be known as the better of them all. one name had to do it and most of it has to do with the company creating a "better" product so that it would sell for more. but the parts are all EXACTLY identical and if you look at replacement remotes and stuff they use the same ones. i didn't buy viper i bought falcon and the remote start and all the modules work perfect with the pats key and my manual transmission doesn't start if its left in gear.
