mini-tachometer install

2000 Ranger xlt 3.0L, auto tranny, no factory tach.

Do any of you guys have pictures of your mini tachs installed? If so can you post them or tell me where you have it mounted so I can see them please. I am trying to get ideas on where to mount one. I dont want a fancy tach, just a simple black and white with about 0-7K rpm. In my other truck I had a tach and I'd like to have one in this truck, too. thanks for all comments and responses.

Get something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-...spagenameZWDVW

It will plug right in, it looks better than mounting a Tach and its cheap.

I think you have to mess with it to get it to the correct mileage. I'm not sure exactly how but I know for a fact that it will just be plug and play. There will no wiring involved to get the tach working.

Even better: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWD1V

I think these are also plug and play. I'm not sure though. I don't see why they wouldn't be. I know that the 04 and up clusters will not work.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...leage+odometer

If the cluster has the same shape as the one you have now it will work except if it has a digital odometer. So 95-03 Ranger, 95 to ? Exploder and ?-? Sport Trac.
