When you give it gas it spins the alternator faster... That's why they get brighter. You're good to go bud!

That is not normal. You alternator should be able to handle the standard load of the vehicle's stock lighting and a little extra lighting at idle. I have two 130 watt off-road lights on the front of my truck truck and they don't change between idle and reved up. You should have your alternator and battery tested by a reputable autoparts place. I'd bet on the battery.

Its not normal. Mine never did that before. Something is wrong, go to AutoZone and have them test your battery and alt, they do it for free. When I had Halogen bulbs even when my fog lights on, I never had that problem.

It is only normal if it has been broken so long that you don't think there is anything wrong

Something is wrong. Get it checked.
