electric tailgate lock hooked up to clifford arrow 5?

Question for you smart people out there! I have an electronic tailgate lock I'm getting ready to install...
Q1) How complex is it to install the darn thing?
Q2) How many bolts do I need to take off to get to the tailgate lock?
Q3) Do I hook them up to the same wires that my doors are connected to?
Q4) About how much time will this whole process take including running the wires?
Q5) Anyone in Colorado wanna help? :D

I have the tailgate lock, but no alarm.
1) It's cake. The hardest part is running the wires under the truck and into the cab.
2) Eh, I don't remember the exact count. I think it was like 10-12 to get the plate off the backside of the tailgate and then another couple to mount the lock. If your lock is like mine, then it sandwiches between two existing plates in the latch mechanism. It really isnt' hard.
3) You need to tap into two wires in the passenger side kick-pannel. W/ wire taps. I forget which wires though. Lemme lurk through GE and such and see if I can come up w/ a better answer for you.
4) I mounted the lock before I went to work one morning. 30 min tops. Sadly the wiring took a bit longer. I ran my wires into the cab via the junction box under the driver's side seat, which meant I had to remove both seats to run the wire under the capet. I'm not sure I wouldn't have been better off to just drill a new hole through the floor near the kick-pannel and then seal it w/ silicon. I think that's what Robin did and he says it worked very well, and he didn't have to take seats out. I think it took me 2-3 hours to run the wires and re-install my truck's interior!
5) This is totally a DIY-able project. But I'd gladly help, if I weren't thousands of miles away..
