how do i get off roading lights behind my grill
ive tryed like 4 different types of off roading light to put behind my grill and none of them fit due to the well placed trans radiator. does anyoe have any ideas on which lights to get and how to get around the radiator. it would be much appreciated.

I didnt have any problems putting them behind my grill. Assuming you have already gotten the grill off, I just put them in that black thing that funnels air towards the radiator. I dont know bout a tranny cooler, as I'm honestly not sure if I have one w/ a 5 speed., but there was no problem for mine. I just drilled holes in the plastic and mounted them. Was MUCH easier than I expected!

i dont have any specific pics that i can find right now (even though i took a bunch when doing the install).....i made some brackets out of angle iron for some freebie lights that my buddy gave to me. i mounted the mounts to the top of the fiberglass header panel behind my grille, and hung them there....some people mount them to the bottom of the grille though....use some with low wattage, and that are as slim as you can find 2-3" MAX

heres an 04 with the tranny cooler, which is heald on with 3 sheet metal screws
the ONLY concern I now have with behind the grill lights, is heat. your obstructing the air flow wich will cause it to run hotter possibly. this would be bad. Combine multiple factors: driver side splash gaiurd, skid plate, license plate, tow hooks, horn, and then add a couple lights.... all blocking air flow thru the radiator. i may end up with slim lights on my new waag bar instead of behind the grill.... or some little bullet style lights for behind the grill... remeber, aerodynamics....
