Brake Drums fit tight.

Apologize if this is in the wrong thread.

In the process of replacing the back drum brakes (shoes and drums) for my 97' 2wd 4cyl.

Everything looks the same and appears to be sitting where is should, but for some reason, I can barely get the drums on. Passenger side turns pretty hard. Drivers side, I can barely move at all. Had to nearly force them on.

The adjusters are turned all the way in.

Is this noremal? I have not replaced drum brakes for about 10 years and that was a Pathfinder. Seems, they went on pretty hard, if I remember right.

Thanks

You probably have something in wrong. The adjuster should not be turned all the way in. You should have to back the adjusters off to get the drums on and the drum should go right on with no problems
