Gauges and Notification Lights

My entire cluster is on the fritz... it started yesterday and the battery/alternator error light would flash once or twice then go off. Then a minute or two later it would do it again. It will do this my entire drive... alternating with that light staying solid and intermittedly my airbag light will go off (I'm missing a sensor so that light is supposed to be on). Well... that was yesterday then today when I drove it to work it added the E-brake light and the ABS light to the mix, as well as the light telling me if the pass. airbag is on or off... and the entire cluster will just shut off. All the needles drop and then 1-5 seconds later they all come back to life. Sometimes it displays all the icons (like when you first start the truck) and sometimes it doesn't. When the needles drop though the battery light illuminates and stays solid.
From what I can tell the headlights are unaffected by this and the radio is definately unaffected. This morning all issued stopped when I got the truck up to freeway speeds, but on the way home it didn't matter what speed I was I still had issues. I tried keeping the RPMs high and that doesn't seem to make a difference either way. At first I thought it was the alternator 'cause I got some oil on it when I changed the oil last week but there's so much stuff happening now that I'm not sure that's it.
I checked every plug I could find and they are all clean and secure. Also checked the grounds and there's no problem there. I have an appt. to take the truck in tomorrow since technically I'm still under warranty, just wondering if anyone has ever run into this or has any ideas.

no idea i had mine quit one time when the dimmer switch went out but i think it was just the lights and not the functionality of the gauges themselves. I hope you can get everything worked out! :)

Damn that sucks. I've had only the temp gauge needle go nuts a few times as well as my ebrake light but thats it. Never had an issue with the rest. Hope yours gets fixed!

Sound like it was. Mine was doing the exact same thing after I spilled oil on mine last time changed the oil.
